We consider gender equality a human right. We strive to create an ecosystem where women can participate in the workforce more and under equal conditions. We believe that an equal life is possible, and we further our efforts for the empowerment of women in every field.

In line with our Equal Life approach empowered with diversity and inclusion, we are creating a business culture that strives for equal opportunities in discourse, business and collaborations with stakeholders. We carry out all our activities under the leadership of our senior management, and in alignment with the Gender Equality Committee and the Gender Equality Working Group.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION POLICY

The Domestic Violence Prevention Policy, which we prepared in collaboration with the Business Against Domestic Violence (BADV) project and the Federation of Women Associations of Türkiye, identifies the types of violence, and provides information on the internal and external channels our colleagues and their children can utilize in case of violence, the relevant human resources policies, and the support programs we offer.

GENDER EQUALITY TRAINING

GENDER EQUALITY TRAINING

The “Fundamentals of Gender Equality” training, in which basic questions such as “What is gender equality?” and “What are gender stereotypes?” are explained both theoretically and through examples, will be included among the compulsory training programs Zorlu Group employees have to complete. This training will also be shared as an open source for all stakeholders to benefit from.

We will continue our support for the “No More Flowers” section of the Istanbul Film Festival, which champions films focusing on women and which we have supported two years in a row, in the 41st Istanbul Film Festival, which will be held on April 8-19, 2022.

Zorlu Holding and Group companies; Vestel, Zorlu Enerji, Zorlu Gayrimenkul, Zorluteks ve Hometeks were entitled to receive a certificate of Gender Equality Model(FEM) by The Women Entrepreneurs Association of Türkiye (KAGİDER). This certificate aims to identify inequalities in different human resources processes such as recruitment, training, career planning, and development and put an end to sexism in work place.

WOMEN TECHNICIANS TRAINING PROJECT

Initiating the Women Technicians Training Project in 2019, Vestel provides training to customer representatives working in authorized service centers and offers them the opportunity to work in after-sales technical support teams. As of the end of 2022, 18 of 68 women technician candidates who have successfully completed their applied technical training are actively working in the field.
